Kobe Bryant (Ellen de Generes show)
Kobe Bryant appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show talking about how he felt about the last game of his NBA career now that he’s entered retirement. The game on April 14th was pretty epic. On his final NA game, he became the older player in history to hit 60 points! He talked to Ellen about his tumultuous relationship with Shaquille O’Neal and his questionable dancing skills in a fun and interesting interview. Watch it here:
Kesha returns to the recording studio
Kesha has had a pretty tough time for a while due to the court ruling refusing to release her from her contract with Sony which she fought for because she alleged the producer she was working with, Sr Luke sexually assaulted her. However, the EDM star, Zedd offered Kesha a helping hand back in February tweeting Kesha that he would be happy to produce a song for her. Then two weeks ago, we saw Kesha performing with Zedd at the Coachella Festival in California so it looked like he was going to make good on his promise. Now, we can report that Kesha will be releasing a new song on Friday.
Kim Kardashain’s Influence
Kim Kardashian is one of the most talked about celebs of all time and it’s not surprising that women everywhere follow her style and makeup. However, apparently, Kim is also inspiring young women to change the way they speak to sound more like her. A recent study by Louisiana State University found that 86% of women tested positive for “vocal fry” which is the kind of speech used by Kim, which basically means elongating certain syllables. So Kim Kardashian could be influential in changing the accents of America!

Khole Kardashian is usually in the papers for her style or makeup and even for dramas in the family but more recently, we have seen a heart-warming and soft side to Khole with her recent Instagram post of herself with her niece, North sharing a touching moment together.
Sarah Paulson and the #PVOJ
Sarah Paulson has been a regular face on American Horror Story but her role as Marcia XXX in The People V O.J. Simpson has really got her noticed this time around. She’s been one of the main stars to receive most of the media attention. As well as a bunch of speculation about how many awards she’s expected to receive for her work on #PVOJ, she’s also hit the public’s eye.
The Decider has said that Sarah Paulson “has gone from “Oh yeah, that lady to F*** yeah, Sarah Paulson.”
Everyone wants more of Paulson and because she’s been in showbiz for over 20 years, there’s plenty of stuff to catch up on featuring the talented actress. Across the Pond: The Queen’s Birthday
On April 21st all of Britain and many parts of the world took a momento celebrate the 90th birthday of the longest reigning monarch in the country, Elizabeth II. She’s served a total of 63 years as Britain’s monarch and is now herself a great-grandmother. The festivities surrounding the Queen’s birthday are set to last a few months with a special event on May 15th on the grounds of Windsor Castle planned to honour the queen. It has recently been confirmed that stars performing at the event will include Dame Shirley Bassey, Kyle Minogue and Andrea Bocelli.
Story of the month: RIPs – The Worst Year for Celeb Deaths?
We pay tribute to our most loved celebs at Fizzdot who died this April. It’s a really bad year for celeb deaths and some have even said it’s the worst but apparently 1994 was the doomsday for our beloved famous people with shocking deaths like Kurt Corbain and Jackie Onassis.
Others have suggested this recent spike in celeb deaths is down to the baby boom generation. Whatever the reason, here are our respects at Fizzdot to our lost celebs.
The circumstances of Prince’s death are yet to fully emerge but speculations about HIV/AIDS are circulating and the disease is the current rumor for the cause of death. Officials have revealed that prescription painkillers were found at his Minneapolis home where he was found dead but whether these drugs played a part in his death is unknown. The medical examiners said it could take up to a few weeks before the full circumstances are known but for now, suicide and homicide are ruled out.
Hamilton was the director of many famous James Bond movies including Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever. He is remembered as one of the key players in not only putting James Bond on our screens but for making Bond so popular. In World War II Hamilton himself was a kind spy and was involved in a lot of covert missions so maybe this is what attracted him to Bond and how he managed to make the character come to life so vividly.
She was a ground breaking female comedian in Britain famous for her stand up comedy as well as her many roles on hilarious sitcoms like Dinnerladies. Wood was battling with cancer and it finally took her life but her publicist said that she died peacefully in her home. She was the holder of an OBE and CBE, as well as five BAFTAs.
The groundbreaking female wrestler, Chyna died of an overdose at her California apartment. She was actually in the middle of recording a documentary about her life and her planned comeback where she would get her “Rocky ending” friend and manager Anthony Anzaldo told People. However, she was emotionally fragile even though she was physically fit and began self-medicating to help get herself through her demons. It’s these drugs that led to her death.
Grammy-award winning, Phildelpia International Records soul singer, famed for Me and Mrs Jones Billy Paul died suddenly after “a serious medical condition.” It was later revealed that he had recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He was the Motown soul force of the 1970s and continued to perform right up until he became ill.
The Emmy award winning actress best known for her role in Everybody Loves Raymond died of natural causes. Her career spanned six decades and she spoke of a tragic childhood that she overcame because of one special adult in her life, probably her strong mother.
David Gest has always been very quirky and many have begun to take him into their hearts. He was found dead in a London hotel room. According to a friend, he had said he wasn’t feeling well a few days previously. He was a producer and reality star, known for his odd attitude to life. He also grew up with Michael Jackson who died in 2009.
